Maybe it’s $2,000. Maybe it’s $8,000. Maybe it’s $10,000, which is the number I’m going to use through this whole thing purely because it’s a nice round number and my brain needs nice round numbers to function. Swap in your own. The math scales exactly the same whether you’re aiming for two grand or twenty.
Here’s the thing nobody warns you about when you’re sitting there staring at your number like it’s going to rearrange itself into a plan. The number tells you nothing about how to get there. Zero information. I have watched two women both write down “$10,000 a month” on the same day and need to build completely different businesses to actually touch it, because the real question was never the number. It’s what you’re actually good at, and honestly, what you can tolerate doing on a Tuesday when you don’t feel like it, because you will absolutely have Tuesdays where you don’t feel like it.
